Marco Spitzar
Frankfurter Sirup
12 November 2022 – 14 January 2023
Opening on Friday, 11 November 2022, from 6pm
Introductory words by Katrin Kobberger
Children already play with the properties of glue. After studying art and successful excursions into the media industry, Marco Spitzar (born 1964 in Osnabrück) concentrates on the output of decades of procedures from his adhesive world. In addition to ironic-figurative gluing treatments, his work includes films and photographs of lumps of glue as well as glue inscriptions and, time and again, meditative glue pictures of the nimble bottle of UHU. A cosmos that you want to touch and can literally smell.
Marco Spitzar studied at the Academy of Fine Arts at Bruno Gironcoli in Vienna and has lived in Vorarlberg since 1978. We show works on paper and canvas as well as objects made of glue.
