In her series "Ecstasy," which began in 2020, artist Lena Schramm (born 1979 in Berlin) takes an in-depth look at the symbols and logos of the party drug. Her paintings and her accompanying lexicon entertainingly reveal the ambivalence between capitalist consumerist aesthetics and the chemically triggered sensations of love and happiness. In her latest works, the artist, who was trained by Werner Büttner at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg, explores the moment of twilight, the afterglow, bliss and the soft landing, the "Warm Turkey". Lena Schramm's exhibition combines painting and installation and, beyond this context, is also a comment to our times.
